Manhasset is known for being lacrosse-dominated in the spring, but the Manhasset baseball and softball organizations led by Brian Corbo and Lauren Majewski, in association with Manhasset Booster Club, are making great strides to increase the interest and following for these other spring sports.

The “Triple Play Classic” is the largest event for the Manhasset baseball and softball communities. The event begins with Varsity games starting at 10am, followed by PAL games at 3pm along with many opportunities to win numerous prizes in various raffles, from Mets and Yankees tickets to a Surface Pro 3. There will also be many Manhasset baseball and softball products for sale throughout the day. An inflatable tee ball station will also be at the event to entertain the kids. The event will take place on Saturday, April 25, 2015. Last year approximately $10,000 was raised, which greatly benefitted both organizations. Funds raised enabled the school district to replace the clay surrounding home plate with turf and enabled the Manhasset baseball and softball programs to engage in many opportunities to develop their players. In 2015, the organizations are trying to surpass the amount of money that was raised last year. Whether you are a baseball player or a baseball fan, come to the Triple Play Classic this Saturday for a great day of fun and to support a great cause.
