On Saturday, October 22nd, the Manhasset Women’s Coalition Against Breast Cancer hosted the 19th annual 5K run. Even though there are trophies and medals awarded, hundreds of people walk the course to show support for the cause, which always makes it a great success. Breast cancer is the second most fatal disease impacting women, with over 40,000 annual deaths in the United States. There are also over 190,000 new cases being diagnosed each year in this country, which is why there is a significant amount of support in order to attempt to battle a disease responsible for taking so many lives.

Events such as the 5K Run for a Cure are prevalent in our area, so it would be greatly appreciated if you were to attend to support the cause!
