Image result for Up BalloonsHelium balloons may not be able to lift a house like they did in the film Up, but the stunt was recreated by British adventurer, Tom Morgan. Morgan flew 15.5 miles across South Africa, reaching heights of 8,000 feet while strapped to a camping chair connected to 100 helium balloons.

After several failed attempts, Morgan was finally able to successfully complete his goal. He described the experience as being unbelievably cool, but he admitted that he felt both terrified and elated while he was suspended above the ground on a chair. He stated that it was an amazing experience which he wants other people to experience.  He hopes that his adventure company can create a competitive helium balloon race in Africa in the future.
